Quinn McNeill

Quinn McNeill is a Brooklyn-based ceramic artist and educator. As Head of Programming & Instruction at Hey Clay, she’s excited to build offerings that celebrate process, welcome all levels of learners, and reflect the warmth of a shared creative space.

Camila Ruiz

Camila Ruiz is a ceramics teacher and scientist who is passionate about glazes and the chemistry of glazes and materials. She has taught several glazing workshops including glaze chemistry, underglaze crayons and speckled glazes.

Nic Newcomb

Nicholas Newcomb is a Brooklyn-based ceramics artist and sculptor dedicated to the humble beauty of handmade pottery. With an interest in nature, design, and culture, Nicholas’s work is inspired by the textures, colors, and forms found all around us.

Michiko Shimada

Michiko Shimada is a Brooklyn based ceramicist. Originally from Japan, she attended Parsons School of Design. Since 2009, she has been working in her Greenpoint studio. Her work conveys minimalism, timelessness, and beauty of the materials.

Atlas Thomas

Atlas Thomas is a sculptor, ceramicist, and art historian. His focus is on multiple forms of craft, and the limitless possibilities of combining different practices. 

Christopher Combemale

Christopher is a British-born potter now based in Brooklyn. He comes to Hey Clay after five years teaching at Artshack and loves to share his passion for functional ceramics and community building through clay. His favourite forms are bottles and teapots and he is one half of @AmeliaCarves.
