Workshop: Glazing with confidence - application best practices
**NON-MEMBERS, purchase pass here**

A lot of unexpected glaze results come down to application, not glaze choice. If you've pulled pieces from the kiln and wondered why the color pooled, ran thin, or didn't match what you expected, the answer is usually in how it was applied, not the glaze itself. This workshop walks through dipping, brushing, and pouring with guidance on technique and best practices, so you can glaze with more care, more consistency, and a clearer sense of what to expect post-firing.
In this workshop you will:
- Learn dipping, brushing, and pouring, and when to use each one
- Understand how thickness and evenness change your fired result, and how to control both
- Learn bisqueware prep that affects adhesion and firing
- Walk through common glazing mistakes you've probably made without knowing why
What you will walk away with:
- A clearer understanding of how application technique affects the final fired surface
- Hands-on experience with multiple glazing methods
- Glazed pieces ready for firing
- Practical habits to bring back to your regular glazing practice
Who is this workshop best for?
Best for members and punchcard holders who've already thrown or hand-built pieces and want more control over how they turn out. If you've been glazing by feel and getting inconsistent results, this is for you.
